Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

    We do like to go to a ball game at least once a year. Even though, we are not huge baseball fans. Usually later in the season, though. We usually go with the whole family but the last game we went to I was appalled at the crude behavior and inappropriate sex talk of the people behind us who had had one too many beers from the vendors. Why does there have to be beer everywhere you go, anyway???

    I think to sidestep exposing our children to that repulsive scene, I might take Janie up on her idea and make it a date night surprise.

    Now dear sister Hope. I know that this will be a particular challenge for you, because you hate the sickening spitting that for whatever reason must accompany ball games. But Bill does love baseball and it might do you good to get out just the two of you for a change???

    Yes, dear Kat, Bill would enjoy that.

    Bill was recently talking of going to a baseball game while his father is in town. I have never been to a professional game. I sang to him,

    “Take me out to the ballgame…buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack, if you don’t I’ll NEVER come back!”

    Instead of
    “Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
    I don't care if I never get back”

    I know…I am a spoiled BRAT!.

    I think an Arnel is a designer... probably her suit. Ladies used to wear lovely things like suits for public events... back in the days before jeans and pants...
