We often light candles in our bedroom and also the bathroom. We've been doing this as long as I can remember. Allen so likes candles that he is usually the one who buys them. Whenever we happen into a craft store or other place that sells a large variety of candles, he is guaranteed to be found sniffing for the right scent. This is definitely something I appreciate about him. Not every man is secure enough to sniff candles in public☺
Tonight I will be lighting some for sure. He comes home, hurray! and I am planning a midnight supper for us, hopefully on the deck (if the weather holds) with the chimnea burning and lots of candlelight.
Wow…a midnight dinner! That sounds like fun. I don’t know if Bill and I have ever had a midnight dinner. I am wondering what you ate. ☺
Candles are one of the simplest ways of creating a pleasant atmosphere. We also burn many candles, but never pay full price for them. The scented candles are a special treat.
Ah... it was a beautiful evening. Crisp enough for the Chimnea to be pleasant but not so much that one would be cold. We sat and talked for hours. Our dinner was simple... Pineapple, apples slices, dill Havarti, olives and Genoa salami. I forgot to grab the sparkling cider so we just had water in champagne glasses instead.
One can never say enough for the beauty glowing candles add to life.
