Jani says, "Donate his outgrown wear to charity. (Saves him mumbling about age and overweight.) Make sure you get a deduction for this. He'll probably be more impressed with the tax saving, but he'll think you must certainly love him an awful lot."

I wouldn't DARE get rid of his clothing. He has some pieces that have been signed by Eddie Van Halen and such. Nope....I'll leave this one to Skippy! :> )

Allen counts on me to do this. I periodically weed through his closet for worn items, things he no longer wears and he hands over the things that don't fit any longer. I know he appreciates this but, dear Jani, you are right about that tax deduction. I know he even more appreciates that little print out I give him to show I entered it in the tax deduction soft ware! You are a perceptive, gal.

Well, since we already buy most of our clothing second hand, I don’t give much of any clothing to the thrift store. However, I do weed through and toss what is no longer serviceable. ☺

Made my way through Allen's closet this weekend and donated what no longer fits and the things he just doesn't wear anymore. Then I went shopping with him and helped him choose some new pants and shirts that do fit. Oh, the things we do for love. *sigh*
